The Jordan 36 Rui Hachimura Black Samurai were released as a collaboration between Nike’s Air Jordan brand and Rui Hachimura.

The bottoms and insoles of the Jordan 36 Rui Hachimura Black Samurai feature mountain-range and cherry-blossom artwork, in addition to red embellishments on the mesh upper. The sole unit features transparent Air Zoom outsoles and an Eclipse Plate 3.0. The shoe pays homage to the Japanese roots of Hachimura with its vivid red piping highlights and Kanji writing. The pull tabs on the tongue are a typical gridded pattern, with Hachimura’s Samurai insignia developed by his mother.
